Singapore—Spot prices in the seaborne metallurgical coal market were steady day on day with two trades done to China. There were also several indicative offers heard on both FOB Australia and CFR China basis. S&P Global Platts assessed Premium Low Vol steady at $150.50/mt CFR China, and the PLV FOB Australia prices were unchanged at $138/mt Thursday. The spot market saw another 85,000 mt of an Australian Premium Mid Vol Goonyella concluded at $143.75/mt CFR China, January laycan. This was the producer’s twelfth PMV sale with January laycan, according to Platts’ spot trade data.
