Gurgaon—The Capesize freight markets in the Pacific and Atlantic basins made a weary start Monday in spite of cargoes being available in these regions.The forward freight agreement market, too, had a listless opening. "Today is a typical Monday and the market is quite slow," a shipbroker said, adding that many European market participants were attending the Coaltrans conference in Lisbon. In the Pacific, the charterers and owners had their numbers far apart. A China-based Capesize owner said he would wait for all the mining majors to show up before making the first move.
