London—The scrap import market in India edged up a touch over the week, but continued to show subdued buying interest amid a wider bid-offer spread. S&P Global Platts assessed shredded scrap CFR Nhava Sheva at $280/mt Friday, up $3 week on week. Sellers continued to target prices of around $288-$290/mt CFR for import shred, reflecting strong gains observed in the benchmark Turkish scrap prices.
