Kiev—Ukraine’s production of manganese ferroalloy rose 3.6% year on year to 83,900 mt in June from 81,000 mt produced a year ago, but down from 86,700 mt in May, Ukrainian ferroalloy producers association UkrFA said Wednesday. In June Ukraine produced 70,000 mt of silicomanganese (SiMn), up from 68,900 mt in June 2018. Output of ferromanganese (FeMn) increased to 7,800 mt from 4,400 mt, but production of ferrosilicon (FeSi) fell to 5,550 mt from 7,200 mt.
