Market sentiment in the Pacific was positive, with fresh cargoes emerging and freight rates rising after Asian trading hours on Monday. The seaborne iron ore market edged lower amid subdued demand and after China rolled out a fresh round of sintering control policies, while in the bunker segment, most suppliers have switched to LSFO and only limited suppliers were able to offer HSFO in the market. The bunker price for LSFO and HSFO saw some correction, while wintry weather in the Far East was not severe and little delay to ship schedules was heard. The Pacific market saw rates being talked at higher levels after a flurry of activity late Monday.
