Singapore—The seaborne iron ore market weakened Wednesday on pressure from the paper market. S&P Global Platts assessed the 62% Fe Iron Ore Index at $118.35/dry mt CFR North China Wednesday, down $2.80/dmt from Monday. The front-month August TSI swap was down 75 cents/dmt day on day at $116.45/dmt. Expectations of weaker rebar demand dampened sentiment for iron ore in the paper market, sources said.
