US sets final duties on wire rod from South Africa, Ukraine

The US Commerce Department Wednesday announced affirmative final duty determinations of up to 142% in antidumping investigations of carbon and alloy wire rod imports from South Africa and Ukraine. Commerce set duty margins at 135.46%-142.26% on rod from South Africa and 34.98%-44.03% on material from Ukraine. The duty margins are unchanged from preliminary levels set by Commerce in late October. The case now goes to the US International Trade Commission, which will make final injury determinations that will either affirm or negate the duties.
