US Gulf Lease Sale Set for November

A Gulf of Mexico lease sale that was originally scheduled for August but was delayed by the coronavirus pandemic will now be livestreamed from New Orleans in November. The federal Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) said Lease Sale 256 will offer 78.8 million acres for the region-wide sale that include 14,755 unleased blocks — all of the available unleased areas in federal waters of the Gulf (OD Jun.15’20).
