Sanctions Hit Gazprom Neft In Kazakhstan, Serbia

Russian oil producer Gazprom Neft has suffered sanctions-related set- backs in Kazakhstan and Serbia in a sign that the measures are starting to bite even though the impact is not that significant. Gazprom Neft confirmed this week that a supply contract in Kazakhstan between a distributor for its lubricants business and the Kazakh subsidiary of metallurgical giant ArcelorMittal was dissolved because of the US, EU and Ukrainian sanctions imposed on Russia’s largest oil companies.
