Uralkali reports 12% decrease in 2019 potash sales

Uralkali’s full-year 2019 revenues edged up 1% year on year to $2.78 billion on higher potash sales prices, but both its production and sales volumes fell, the company said March 5. Net profit for 2019 increased to $1.2 billion compared with a net loss of $97 million the prior year. The Russian producer’s MOP production declined 3% from 2018 to 11.1 Mt, while sales dropped 12% to 9.8 Mt. Export sales in 2019 decreased to 8.5 Mt from 7.4 Mt and domestic sales declined to 2.4 Mt from 2.6 Mt previously, according to the press release.
