Freeport LNG pins hopes of US spot sales on Redwood online trading platform

US developer Freeport LNG has outlined plans to sell physical spot cargoes from its 15 mtpa export facility conversion in Texas on an online platform created by Redwood Markets, in a move that will test the trading community’s appetite for new internet-based options. From November, Freeport aims to start offering volumes via a dedicated “private storefront” that will operate within the tech firm’s virtual LNG marketplace and open to anyone that signs up.
