Oil Search Output Hits Record

Record volumes from Exxon Mobil’s Papua New Guinea (PNG) LNG project helped underpin Sydney-listed Oil Search’s highest-ever quarterly production, the company said on Tuesday. The PNG-focused firm has a 29% stake in the liquefaction scheme, which produced at a rate of around 8.6 million tons/yr in the third quarter of 2017. That’s the highest since the project came on stream in 2014, and significantly more than its design capacity of 6.9 million tons/yr.
