Gazprom Readies Funding Deal for Nord Stream 2

Russian state-run gas giant Gazprom will reveal details of a financing package for the Nord Stream 2 pipeline to Germany by the end of March, the firm's deputy CEO, Alexander Medvedev, has been quoted as saying. Medvedev thus appears optimistic that all five European partners - Germany's Uniper and Wintershall, Royal Dutch Shell, Austria's OMV and France's Engie - will help fund the 55 Bcm/yr project. Project financing arrangements were originally expected to be finalized last year (IOD Jan.25'17).
