All mainstream family cars are basically the same, right? That's what some of the more outspoken (read: cynical) voices within the motoring media and wider industry would have you believe. This is a view that appears to have been amplified as the march of electrification gathers momentum. But, actually, many manufacturers have distinctly different approaches to the phenomenon, and these numerous strategies end up creating more motoring variety as a result.
