Australia’s Rio Tinto reorganizes business to save costs

Australia’s biggest iron ore producer Rio Tinto announced a liquidation of the Energy division and a merging of its Coal part to the Cooper division. The Uranium business will integrate into the Diamonds and Minerals department. This reorganization is part of the company’s plan to cut cost. With the dissolution of the Energy division, its chief Harry Kenyon-Slaney left the company.
