Relationship between seed size and oil content in Brassica rapa.

Populations of oilseed canola (B. rapa [Brassica campestris]), crosses of rape with canola and interspecific crosses were evaluated for correlations between seed size and oil content. A negative correlation was observed when seed size was much larger than in conventional materials, which is likely to be due to pleiotropic effects.
