Pseudoternary phase diagrams of quater-nary microemulsion systems composed of the reactive sur-factant sodium dodecanol allyl sulfosuccinic diester, n-pentanol, methyl acrylate/butyl acrylate, and water weremade. The influence of the mass ratio of sodium dodecanolallyl sulfosuccinic diester to the cosurfactant (n-pentanol) inthe system and the influence of electrolyte sodium chlorideon the microemulsion area were examined. The microstruc-ture of the microemulsion was determined with a conduct-ance technique. The results suggested that there were threestructures in the microemulsion system: water in oil, oil inwater, and a bicontinuous phase.
