Benefits and costs of home palliative care compared with usual care for patients with advanced illness and their family caregivers

More than half of people prefer to receive care and die at home. However, one-third or less of all deaths occur at home in many developed countries. This JAMA Clinical Evidence Synopsis summarizes a Cochrane review regarding the benefits and cost-effectiveness of home palliative care services.
