Ferbasa / Brazil Constructs One New Electric Furnace For Ferro-Silicon Production

Ferbasa, a leading producer of ferro-alloys in Brazil, decided to construct one new electric furnace at their plant located in Pojuca of Bahia state for production of special grade ferro-silicon and started to construct it. This construction is scheduled to complete in July of 2009. Ferbasa constructs No.13 electric furnace with transformer capacity of 24 MVA, which is able to produce 18,000 tons per annum of ferro-silicon.
