Pharmacists have a central role to play in delivering the Government's health priorities, pharmacy minister Earl Howe emphasises in an exclusive briefing with The Journal this week. The minister seems genuinely pleased that he has been given the pharmacy portfolio and comments that he has thought for some time that pharmacy has potentially a larger role to play in improving the health of the population and also in ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines.
