No further restrictions on pseudoephedrine drugs

Cold and influenza medicines containing pseudoephedrine and ephedrine are to remain available over the counter after tighter controls have resulted in no new reports of the misuse of these drugs in the past year, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency has announced.
