Pilot offering oral contraceptives through pharmacies well received

Pharmacists in London have become the first to offer oral contraceptives under a patient group direction. Early indications are that the service is being well received.The plan to use community pharmacies to provide oral contraceptives without a prescription was outlined by Lord Darzi in 2007 (PJ, 15 December 2007, p669).
