Two GOSH technicians are part of award-winning podcast team

Two technicians, Ann Horton and Daniel Risson, from Great Ormond Street Hospital, London, were part of a small team that won an Ask About Medicines Award for Excellence. A "most innovative" category award was given for the team's development of video podcasts as an alternative method of giving instructions to parents and carers on how medicines should be given to children. The hospital already had leaflets available, but staff were concerned that written information is not always the best way to give instructions. In addition, information given verbally can easily be forgotten.
