Europe: A missed opportunity, with dangers and hopes

What has Europe ever done for us?This is a fair question that any European citizen should ask of a region and its institutions that have promised so much, yet delivered so little. Europe enjoys unprecedented diversity— politically, economically, socially, and culturally. But, as the seven-part series we publish this week on Health in Europe reveals, across a broad range of health priorities European countries have missed opportunities to win advantages forthe health of their citizens.
