Actavis buys Botox maker Allergan for US$66bn

GENERICS major Actavis is buying speciality pharmaceuticals firm Allergan for US$66bn, creating one of the world's top ten largest pharmaceuticals companies by sales. The combined company will have revenues of more than US$23bn and employ more than 30,000 people in fields including medical aesthetics, gastroenterology, cardiovascular disease, women's health and infectious disease.
