This book is relatively short and at just over 60 pages is almost a booklet. The text presents a collection of 15 short essays on the broad subject of professional engineering practice. The examples have largely been drawn from the extensive experience of the author, Harvey Dearden, who has worked in the process industry sector for more than 35 years. They have been compiled from a number of articles, some of which have apparently previously appeared in edited form in engineering institution magazines.
