We read with great interest the report by Bjurlin et al that showed the emerging pathogens such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and Candida can cause Fournier's gangrene. In addition, they found no significant difference between the Fournier's gangrene severity index of length of stay and the causative pathogens. However, an important issue needs to be clarified.
