Fixed asset investment in China’s coal miningand washing industry fell 21.2% on-year to Yuan 40 billion($6.43 billion) over January-March, data released Wednesdayby the National Bureau of Statistics showed.The figure showed the steepest drop since February2012, largely attributed to the continued deterioration ofthe mining sector, as profit margins were hurt byoversupply and falling prices.
