The European-delivered CIF ARA physical thermal coal spot prices were clipped of 70 cents Monday, as sources noted that the market continued to lack demand amid ample supply. Platts assessed the price of CIF ARA thermal coal basis 6,000 kcal/kg NAR and for delivery within the next 15-60 days at $57.05/mt, down 70 cents from Friday.
