Shenhua, Fujian Energy JV to build 3,240 MW coal-fired power plants

Hunan, China — China Shenhua Group and Fujian Energy Group have formed a joint venture to build four coal-fired power plants with a combined power generation capacity of 3,240 MW by the end of 2015, the provincial government of Fujian said Friday. The Shenhua Funeng Power Generation Co. JV targets expanding its capacity to 10,000 MW over the subsequent five years in southeastern China’s Fujian province, the authority said in a statement.
