Current low oil prices are unsustainable in the medium term and may lead to a violent upswing in later years, the International Energy Agency's director for energy markets and security, Keisuke Sadamori, said Monday. "The current price level is not sustainable in the medium term and although the cheap oil price is beneficial for the oil importing countries right now in the short term, we have to bear in mind that the longer it lasts, the more likely that we'll see higher dependence on the Middle East and a more volatile market in the coming years," Sadamori told an oil and gas conference in Italy.
