Japan's Astomos looks to Canada for LPG

Japan's top LPG supplier Astomos Energy remains interested in sourcing Canadian LPG, including from AltaGas' planned export project on the Pacific coast, despite bulging global supply and slowing demand. Astomos President Osamu Masuda said in an interview Tuesday that the shorter distance and lower freight costs from Canada, compared with traditional Middle East suppliers, continue to make the trades promising despite the market headwinds.
