Exxon, BP, Statoil win deepwater blocks in Irish round

Ireland has awarded 14 licensing options to eight companies following the conclusion of the first phase of awards in the 2015 Atlantic Margin Licensing Round, the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources said Thursday. The awarded blocks will be focused on an area in the southern Porcupine Basin, located southwest of Ireland and where seismic surveys were due later this year.
