Texas crude output drops 400,000 b/d from peak

Houston-Texas oil production is estimated to have dropped more than 400,000 b/d from its recent peak last year, a top Texas economist estimated on Monday-steeper than any other state during the current downturn. Texas production in June 2016, the most prolific in the US except for the Gulf of Mexico, is projected at 3.21 million b/d, economist and consultant Karr Ingham said at a press briefing.
