Husky prepares to increase White Rose production

St John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador—Husky Energy will start production at its offshore Newfoundland and Labrador White Rose oil field extension in a few days, a senior company official said Thursday. “We are looking at the end of next week [June 26] to start up the South White Rose extension, adding another 15,000 b/d of light crude production net to the company,” Malcolm Maclean, Husky’s senior vice president of Atlantic Region, said on the sidelines of the Atlantic Canada Petroleum Show in St John’s.
