China crude stocks rise for third straight month

Singapore—China’s crude stock build slowed to 47,000 b/d in August amid modest imports and an increase in throughput, Platts calculations based on official data showed Tuesday. This was the third consecutive month in which China has registered an addition of barrels to its crude stock, although the volume was only 4-5% of the 1.17 million b/d and 1.03 million b/d stock builds seen in July and June.
