Greece onshore bid round attracts two companies

Greece received two bids-from Energean Oil & Gas and Hellenic Petroleum-in a licensing round for three onshore blocks. In November, Greece opened tenders for exploration and exploitation licenses for the Arta-Preveza, Aitoloakarnania, and NW Peloponnese, all in western Greece. It also opened bidding for 20 offshore blocks in the Ionian Sea and the Mediterranean east and south of Crete. That round will close in May.
