Washington—The current low oil price environment will not significantly alter capital spending plans at ExxonMobil, the major said Monday. The company said its investments are driven by its projections of growth in global energy demand. “Given that it’s based on long-term projection of demand and it’s been tested across a range of parameters, there won’t be a whole lot of change to our investment plans,” ExxonMobil Vice President Jeff Woodbury said during an earnings call, adding that specific capital spending guidance and production expectations would be outlined at its annual analyst meeting in March.
