Rosneft tipped for Sakhalin pipe access

Moscow—Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service, or FAS, has recommended Gazprom-led Sakhalin Energy, operator of the Sakhalin 2 project, to consider providing access to its gas line on the Sakhalin island to Rosneft, the authority said in a statement late Thursday. Rosneft is interested in access to the Sakhalin 2 gas line as it would resolve the issue of feedstock supply to its planned Far Eastern LNG facility with a capacity of up to 10 million mt/year. Rosneft plans to build the LNG plant in cooperation with ExxonMobil.
