摘要

Dhaka—Bangladesh is turning to China to help it secure natural gas imports from Myanmar, mooting the possibility of a spur line from the Myanmar-China gas pipeline into a planned special economic zone for Chinese industrial investors. During her visit to China over June 6-12, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed the country’s interest to import a portion of the natural gas that China is now buying from Myanmar, into the planned SEZ during a meeting with Chinese Vice Premier, Wang Yang, a senior foreign ministry official told Platts Friday.
