Uruguay to sell surplus LNG to Argentina, Brazil

Buenos Aires-Uruguay plans to sell surplus natural gas supplies from a floating regasifica- tion terminal currently under construction to Argentina and Brazil, the president of state oil company ANCAP said last week. Gas Sayago, a venture of state oil and power companies ANCAP and UTE, is invest- ing $1.1 billion to build infrastructure for the terminal, which will have 10 million cu m/d of send-out capacity.
