Jerusalem—A senior delegation from Woodside Petroleum and the Israel Tax Authority have resumed negotiations over tax issues linked to the purchase of a 25% stake in the Leviathan offshore gas field by the Australian company, Israeli government and energy industry sources said on Monday. The talks resumed Sunday, 10 days after Woodside decided at the last moment not to sign a definitive agreement on the purchase of the stake. Government sources said Tax Authority Director Moshe Asher is directly involved in the talks.
