Ankara—The newly formed Turkish Energy Company has purchased the 20% holdings of the autonomous Kurdistan Regional Government in all six of the exploration blocks contracted to ExxonMobil, senior industry and Turkish officials told Platts. The farm-in is part of the massive November 27, 2013, energy deal signed between Turkey and the KRG, which includes oil and natural gas pipeline routes and the TEC’s awarding of 12-13 contracts, including the ExxonMobil blocks.
