Murkowski outlines ‘road map’ for US crude exports

Houston—The ranking member of the US Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources on Monday repeated her call for the federal prohibition on US crude oil exports to be lifted and outlined steps she said could be taken without legislative action. Senator Lisa Murkowski, Republican-Alaska, said at the IHS CERAWeek conference that petroleum product exports from the US “are now surging to record levels and are freely traded on global markets.” She said she would present a “road map” for lifting the crude oil prohibition and called on the Obama administration “to update archaic regulations blocking shipments of light oil, or condensates.”
