Repsol delays decision on Argentina's YPF offer

Madrid-The board of Spanish oil company Repsol decided Wednesday to delay a deci- sion whether to accept an offer of compensa- tion for its 51% stake in Argentina's YPF that was seized following the part-nationalization of the company in May 2012. Repsol said in a statement it viewed "favor- ably the head of agreement announced by the Argentinean government," but that it had decided to "start in due course conversations between its teams and those of the Argentinean government, with the objective of finding a fair, effective and quick solution to the controversy."
