Vancouver-Following Saturday's deadly crude-carrying train derailment in Quebec, railways, refiners, oil producers and pipeline companies are being challenged to defend rail's safety as it becomes a major player in moving crude. The accident occurred when five of 72 tanker cars on a Montreal, Maine & Atlantic (MM&A) Railway train left the tracks in Lac- Megantic, Quebec-150 miles east of Mon- treal-early on Saturday.
