KNOC, Vopak advance Ulsan storage plan

Daegu, South Korea—State-owned Korea National Oil Corp. and independent tank storage provider Vopak signed an accord Wednesday that will see them advancing plans to build an oil product storage terminal with a capacity of 9.9 million barrels at Ulsan. Under the agreement signed on the sidelines of the World Energy Congress in Daegu, South Korea, both parties will speed up efforts to construct South Korea’s second commercial oil storage terminal at the southeastern industrial port of Ulsan by 2016, KNOC said.
