Seoul, Moscow eye North Korean project

Seoul-South Korea agreed to participate in a Russian-led rail and port development project in North Korea's northeastern border as part of joint efforts to build a gas pipeline from Russia to South Korea via North Korea. President Park Geun-Hye and her Rus- sian counterpart Vladimir Putin signed a memorandum of understanding in Seoul Wednesday that calls for South Korea's top steelmaker Posco, Hyundai Merchant Marine and Korea Railroad Corp. to participate in the project.
