NYMEX RBOB price leads complex lower

New York—NYMEX RBOB futures led the oil complex lower on October 8 due to a mix of global factors, including California’s measures to alleviate a physical gasoline shortage that pushed down physical gasoline differentials on the West Coast. Also index funds rolled their positions, leading to a selloff in front-month RBOB. NYMEX November RBOB settled 5.94 cents lower at $2.8931/gal. November heating oil futures declined 1.16 cents to settle at $3.1443/gal.
