BP to sell Kansas gas assetsto linn for $1.2 billion

Washington—BP will sell its interests in aKansas natural gas processing plant andassociated producing gas fields in the stateto US independent Linn Energy for $1.2 bil-lion, BP said February 28.BP said the agreement includes the saleof all of its working interest in 2,400 wells inthe Hugoton gas field and the Hugoton Jay-hawk processing plant, which has a capacity of450,000 Mcf/d.
